Elements of Shipboard Safety
This nationally recognised course is required to be completed
by all crew who have worked on a commercial vessel involved in coastal operations throughout Australia for more than 6 months.
The course comprises the following training units-
 | TDMMF1107B Survive at Sea in the event of Vessel
Abandonment |
| TDMMF5407A Observe Safety and Emergency Procedures on a
Coastal Vessel |
| TDMMF5507A Fight and Extinguish Fires on board a Coastal
Vessel |
| Nationally recognised Apply First Aid (previously known as
the Senior First Aid Certificate) |
On successful completion of the course you will receive a
nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
Course Dates
The Elements of Shipboard Safety Course is available on the same dates as the STCW95 Basic Safety Training and is delivered over 5 days. Please refer to the Course Dates page for details. Approximately 3 extra hours of course delivery and assessment time is required for completion of this course after completing the STCW95 Basic Safety Training.
